Director/Producer Beth Aala and Producer Beth Levison in attendance

In the quaint city of Boise, Idaho, an unexpected industry is growing – literally. The town has become the unofficial surrogacy capital of America. MADE IN BOISE explores this unique trend and the complexities that come with it. Filmmaker Beth Aala delicately follows four surrogates and the biological parents of the babies they carry. The surrogate women find purpose and power in these pregnancies: creating life-changing opportunities for those unable to conceive, providing for their own families financially or healing moments from their past. As the surrogacy industry booms globally, MADE IN BOISE tells the story of a community of women risking their own health for humanity’s sake and the emotional complications that come with the journey of surrogacy. –Sarah Harris
